This is a Compressor/Gate in 500 API Format, it's based on a classic styled 4000 (E10) Classic Compression Circuit.
AD536 vs MX636?
The AD536 is the Original part that was also used in consoles. The AD536 has better temperature ratings and is already in DIP-14 Case.
Both Circuits MX636 and AD536 have same frequency range, same attack and release times, both doing the same job. But they have a way different price.
We added to this Classic Circuit a Line Output Trim to make it more flexible in Mixing or Recording situations.
